Virginia E. Kellerman

Virginia E. "Jean" Kellerman, age 93, of Pinckneyville died Thursday, July 11, 2002 at 1:35 p.m. in the Pinckneyville Community Skilled Care Unit.
Virginia was born in Perry County on July 12, 1908, the daughter of Peter and Frances (Poninski) Kujawa. She married Bernard H. Kellerman on September 14, 1926, and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1981. During her lifetime, she was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todd's Mill, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, a former member of their quilting club and altar society, and enjoyed bingo, gardening and traveling.
Survivors include five children: Virginia Bathon and husband Paul of Florissant, Mo., Edward L. Kellerman and wife LaVina of Pinckneyville, Louis W. Kellerman of Pinckneyville, Ray Allen Kellerman and wife Marlene of Du Quoin; Fran Sinn and husband Larry of Pinckneyville; 29 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Delores Kellerman of Pinckneyville and Jeanette "Jan" Kellerman of Pinckneyville; three sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,  sons Bert and Muriel, grandsons Ronald Bathon, Don Meier and John Anthony Kellerman,  great-grandson Noel Kellerman, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2002 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todd's Mill with Fr. John Venegoni officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Friends called from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville. The rosary was recited at the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. Monday.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Perry County, the American Kidney Fund or to the donor's choice.
